Spiked Nutella Affogato

Affogato is an Italian dessert containing two of my very favorite things: gelato and espresso. So naturally, it is begging to be boozed up and made into the ultimate end of the week comfort cocktail. You can serve it after dinner if you’re into propriety and think it should be a dessert. Or, if you’re like myself and think you deserve a treat for getting through another week and want to start celebrating the weekend right away – why wait?

Spiked Nutella Affogato

  • 4 shots of espresso
  • 1 oz. Kahlua
  • ½ oz. Grand Marnier
  • 1 scoop vanilla gelato
  • 1 tbsp. Nutella

Pour freshly brewed espresso into a mug. Add Kahlua and Grand Marnier, stir, and top with a scoop of gelato. In a small dish, microwave the Nutella for about 30 seconds or as long as it takes to get runny. Drizzle over gelato. Cheers!
