It’s always better not to overindulge, but things happen, and you may find yourself in need of a hangover remedy after a night of enthusiastic celebration. We’ve all been there at one time or another, so we did some informal research in the Sweatpants & Coffee staff room to see what solutions our intrepid writers have come up with. The results are totally unscientific and your mileage may vary.
Nanea, Editor in Chief:
“In college, mine was a pint of Strawberry Quik, taught to me by a friend who had extensive experience with hangovers. As an adult, I like Vitamin Water Revive, which has lots of potassium, and a couple of ibuprofen. My friend Tennille told me about this (she was once seated next to the VP of Sales for Vitamin Water on a flight) and I can tell you it works. Someone may or may not have once flown home from Vegas intoxicated and woken up the next morning still drunk. I don’t recommend this practice, but Vitamin Water saved me.”

“I have a ‘hangover shot’ of essential oils. A shot of that, a greasy cheeseburger, and a chocolate milkshake are my cure. You take a shot glass of water and add a drop each of peppermint, lemon, frankincense, and lavender.”
Courtni, Community Manager:
“Two ibuprofen , one mimosa (really just champagne with a splash of OJ) and something with cheese. Mac, queso, cheeseburger.”

“Vitamin B plus ibuprofen plus an EmergenC packet.”

“Nuun tablets.”

“Coconut water. It is a lifesaver.”
Emily, Director of Web Development and Marketing:
“Prevention is the best medicine! Big glass of water, ibuprofen, and a couple of TUMS before bed. If you forgot to prepare, my remedy is lots of water and a big greasy diner breakfast, followed by a nap.”
Rachel, contributor:
“VITAMIN WATER REVIVE IS THE BEST! I concur. I wish I had a remedy. Mostly, I just alternate whining with throwing up until I feel human again.”
