Another of my favorites is Stephen kings short short compilation that includes shawshank redemption. Many people don’t realize shawshank was written by Stephen king. It’s a really well written story and my favorite piece he’s written. I also really love stories about dogs….stuff like Marley & Me and other true dog stories…..hard to list just one book…I love reading and love a wide variety of styles and genres.

My reading habits change with my life. When I was pregnant I strictly read sci-fi, with the Foundations Trilogy, and the C.S. Lewis space trilogy being some of my favorites. Currently I have been reading suspense thrillers, and especially loving books by Dean Koontz. But the book I have called my favorite since I was 14 is To Kill A Mockingbird. I grew up wanting Atticus as my father!!

I have two books I consider my all-time favorites: Greensleeves by Eloise Jarvis McGraw, which is a young adult novel written in the mid-60s. I read it in my mid-teens and I still re-read it every few years. The other is Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole, which has to be one of the funniest novels of all time.
I read widely–lots of non-fiction, mysteries, children’s, quilting and cookbooks. Favorite authors are Kathy Reichs, Patricia Cornwell, Carol O’Connell, Thomas Perry, and on and on and on.
