My mom is a magnificent gardener. Her flower and vegetable garden beds are tended with love and whimsy. She plants things with line and proportion in mind. They grow into beautifully balanced and enviably works of art. I am pretty certain I inherited her passion – without any of the skill involved. I have my hands full keeping my kids healthy and fed – remembering to water things usually ends up with pots of previously good intentions scattered in windowsills in my house. Rather than throwing away yet another dead plant, I’ve started a Pinterest board in an ode to my love of succulents. It is nigh impossible to kill an internet garden. I don’t even have to fake water it like those stupid app games. This week is dedicated to knowing my limitations and loving what I love. This means visiting gardens instead of tending my own. It also means yet another Pinterest board. Oh darn 😀
Tiny plant in a cup makes me squee out loud. This makes me happy inside.
These little lovelies remind me of the walkway in my grandmother’s backyard. She’s been gone over 10 years. I still miss her. These bring me right back.
Mermaid colors! I want to sit and sketch and paint every single one of these:
This grouping looks like dessert cups. Hmmm now where is my secret stash of Oreos?
Succulents and Elephants? Two of my favorite things!
This could live in Alice’s Wonderland.
Ruffly Goodness
I wonder who they are waving to?
It looks like the edges have been dipped in red ink.
The orange and red tones are so happy:
This is one of my favorites. The color combination is divine.
Have a heart.
What is something that you’d love to do, but would be best left to collecting pins on a Pinterest board?
