On February 24 Russia began its attack on Ukraine. Like many of you here in the US I felt heartbroken, angry, and helpless. These are a few ways you can offer real support to the people of Ukraine.

  1. Ukraine Criss Relief Fund – Donation will help “affected communities in Ukraine, with a focus on the most vulnerable, including children, who need access to food, medical services, and psychosocial support.”
  2. International Rescue Committee – “The IRC is on the ground in Poland and preparing to support displaced families.”
  3. Save the Children – “Your donation today can help provide children and families with immediate aid, such as food, water, hygiene kits, psychosocial support and cash assistance. Together, we can protect children in crisis.”
  4. Razom – “Razom, which means “together” in Ukrainian and serves as a constant reminder of the community that it takes to create, build and do, to stay the path towards a more prosperous and democratic Ukraine.”
  5. The International Committee of the Red Cross – “Our teams now in Ukraine will continue their work to repair vital infrastructure, support health facilities with medicines and equipment, and support families with food and hygiene items.”
  6. Revived Soldiers Ukraine – “To provide medical aid and sustainable living standards to soldiers of Ukraine and members of their families. “
  7. Nova Ukraine – “Support Ukraine in its effort to build a strong civil society, to reform its educational system, and to eliminate corruption.”
  8. Sunflower for Peace – “Provides first-aid backpacks to doctors and paramedics on the front line.”
  9. The Kyiv Independent – “We vow to serve as the true, independent global voice of Ukraine.”
  10. United Help Ukraine – “United Help Ukraine (UHU) is working to provide life-saving individual first aid kits (IFAKs containing blood-stopping bandages and tourniquets) and other emergency medical supplies to the front lines.”
