Directions:  This story of one woman’s obsession with her beautiful neighbor is the perfect winter read, easily finished in one sitting. While the main character remains nameless, her unraveling and the blurring of her reality does have a name…madness.

When the actress moves in on the block, she shines so brightly that all of the neighbors are drawn to her like moths to a flame.  One woman, however, is attracted to the actress for a different reason. She is reeling from her battle with infertility and the subsequent collapse of her marriage, leading to an unhealthy interest in the actress and her family.  While the main character initially struggles to keep her grip on reality, it soon becomes apparent that reality isn’t something she even recognizes anymore. Her downward spiral as a result of her all-consuming preoccupation with the actress really only has one outcome. Who will survive this fatal attraction?

Special Instructions: This winter orzo salad brings to mind the one brought to the neighborhood block party by the main character. And the winter red wine sangria pairs perfectly with this deliciously dark domestic thriller.
