This first book in a new YA fantasy series is a thrill-ride for those who enjoy supernatural story elements, love triangles, jetsetting, and a kick-ass heroine trying to beat the clock and save those she loves.

Directions:  Maren’s parents are dead and she is sent to Scotland to live with grandparents she has never met. Soon after her arrival, she is given a copy of her mother’s secret journal. In it, she discovers that her parents were part of a secret international organization, one that wants to recruit her as well. Complicating matters is her growing interest in two young men, one very rooted to Scottish society and the community, and the other a dark angel with a mission of his own.
