This week’s cocktail is one I enjoyed (considerably) at P.F. Chang’s Triple Happiness Happy Hour – the Black Tea Gimlet. Alas, I only had single happiness as it was a weekday and not yet dinner time. Still, it was delightful. Smooth, slightly tart, and with a faint flavor of sage. Very refreshing. I highly recommend it.
The Black Tea Gimlet
- 2 oz. Absolut Wild Tea Vodka
- 1/4 oz. St. Germain liqueur
- 1 oz. lime juice (muddle lime wedges with 2 sage leaves and then strain)
- 1 oz. black tea syrup (mix equal parts black tea and simple syrup)
Combine ingredients with ice in drink shaker. Shake well. Serve in a martini glass with a sage leaf for garnish. Cheers!

I drink black tea by the gallons. Now- I can also get my happy hour on with my favorite beverage. Ah well, the move toward becoming a lush was inevitable:) Thanks Nanea!
