Salted Coffee Kahlua Shake

This Salted Coffee Kahlua Shake is magical. It is ALL THE THINGS in one, delicious, creamy treat, and it is the perfect way to celebrate any day ending with a y. I used Costa Rican dark roast, because I like my coffee like I like my men (strong), french vanilla ice cream, and Kahlua Especial to add a little extra octane – it’s a higher proof than regular Kahlua, check your local liquor store. I highly recommend it. All right. Shall we?

Salted Coffee Kahlua Shake

  • 2 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • 1/2 cup room temperature coffee that you’ve already brewed
  • 2 ounces Kahlua (or coffee liqueur of your choice)
  • kosher salt (or Hawaiian salt if you’re an island girl like myself)
  • chocolate syrup
  • whipped cream if desired

Scoop ice cream into a mug. Pour coffee and liqueur over it. Stir. Top with whipped cream and chocolate syrup. Sprinkle with salt. Enjoy with blissful sigh.
