This Salted Coffee Kahlua Shake is magical. It is ALL THE THINGS in one, delicious, creamy treat, and it is the perfect way to celebrate any day ending with a y. I used Costa Rican dark roast, because I like my coffee like I like my men (strong), french vanilla ice cream, and Kahlua Especial to add a little extra octane – it’s a higher proof than regular Kahlua, check your local liquor store. Salted Coffee Kahlua Shake
- 2 scoops vanilla ice cream
- 1/2 cup room temperature coffee that you’ve already brewed
- 2 ounces Kahlua (or coffee liqueur of your choice)
- kosher salt (or Hawaiian salt if you’re an island girl like myself)
- chocolate syrup
- whipped cream if desired
Scoop ice cream into a mug. Pour coffee and liqueur over it. Stir. Top with whipped cream and chocolate syrup. Sprinkle with salt. Enjoy with blissful sigh.
