Someone wise said to me, “She couldn’t be a mother, but maybe she can be a grandmother.” My mother was on her way for a visit this past weekend. . It took her more than a decade, and a grandson, to get her overseas for a visit. . My mother and I have had a rocky relationship, to say the least. Those of you who follow me have heard and read about my mother wound time and time again. I’m even writing a book about it as we speak. . But it’s happening. She’s visiting. Again. And I really hope that this time it will be immensely healing for everyone. . I have to remind myself that my inner Queen Mother is in the driver’s seat no matter how much my innocent, sweet inner child pouts because she’s been so hurt, or how loud and mean my wounded inner maiden gets because she needs to be in control. . I spoke to my good friend Pernille about it. She gave me the best reminder. . She said, “Remember who you are. Let her be who she is. You don’t have to try to change her anymore. You’ve come so far. And changed so much. You are not her. . Remember how you’re living your life, raising your babies. Remember who you are. Remember who you are.” Her words brought tears to my eyes. Because she’s right. I don’t recognise the person I was 10 years ago, let alone the woman I became last year. . I’m working on myself every single day to defy my genetics, to transform my pain into purpose and my suffering into continuous acts and practices of real self-love. . I’m choosing aliveness, even when I really don’t want to. I’m embracing love, even when I can’t feel it. . So, dear one, this felt so meaningful to me this week. And powerful. So I wanted to share it with you and reminder you, too, to, “Remember who you are.” . Remember who you are. Remember who you are. Remember. Who. You. Are. . A share from my online emotional revolution & self-expression course ::: eatmystardust.com ❤️💕 ✨
