There is no better soul-medicine for me than watching cute animals just being themselves and I spent the past week watching nothing by baby elephant videos and my heart is better for it.

Look at this sweet cuddly baby!

Fact: A baby elephant is called a calf. They can’t see very well at first, but they can recognize their mothers by touch, scent, and sound.

Go, baby, go! I feel like a soccer mom cheering on the sidelines.

Fact: When baby elephants are born they can weigh 250lbs and are about 3ft tall.

This baby trying to get over this tree trunk is all of us trying to get over the week.

Fact: They will gain 2 to 3lbs a day until its first birthday, and will keep drinking milk from their mother’s for up to ten years.

When you try to get things done without coffee…

Fact: Most males wander off to live on their own when they are about 13 years-old, females will stay with their mothers for life.

And this baby throwing a tantrum is me every Monday morning.

Fact: When they are first born they don’t quite know what to do with their trunks and will sometimes step on them. Some of them even suck on their trunks like a baby sucks its thumb.
