Comedian Celeste Barber jumped into action, posting on social media and asking people to donate money if they are able. Fighting the surging fires, which have have claimed 14.7 million acres, killed nearly half a billion animals (including an estimated 1/3 of the koala population), and taken 24 lives at last count, is costly. There’s a library in Ohio that is an actual castle

In Van Wert, Ohio, you can visit a public library where you can read in royal splendor. The Brumback Library is named for its patron, John Sanford Brumback, who donated it to the people of Van Wert, is also the first county library in the United States.
