There’s only about a week left in our July 2017 #TreatYoSelfTote Giveaway! The days have flown, but there’s still plenty of time to enter (which you can do below). Today, we’re talking about the Aeropress and making great coffee on the move.
Aeropress is just one of many of Alan Alder’s inventions. Alan is the president of the company Aerobie, Inc. and has invented and patented dozens of designs. He founded the company in 1984 as a successful engineer and inventor who designed groundbreaking instrumentation systems for military aircraft, telescopes, boats, and of course, his Aerobie brand products. The Aeropress has undergone seven transformations since its original introduction to the market in October of 2005, changing the materials used to manufacture them (BPA free, FYI) and incorporating the most durable, light-weight structure. You get the full shebang: press, filters and holder, stirrer, funnel, scoop, and travel bag.
The one thing I can tell you is that this is one of the easiest cups of coffee I’ve ever made. The directions are simple, the press itself is super light-weight, and it makes a shockingly smooth cup of coffee. I was worried it was going to get watered down from the quick process but the flavor holds up without bitterness or grounds in your coffee. The best part is how easy clean-up is. You just toss the old filter and rinse out the other stuff, making things a breeze. Perfect for those with an adventurer’s heart.
Here’s a quick video on the process
And in keeping with the outdoor theme, here are a couple things that’ll make spending a day in the sun even more amusing.
Aerobie Orbiter Boomerang (which I can literally never get the hang of).
Aerobie Skylighter , because the fun shouldn’t end just because the moon’s come up and the sun’s gone down.
