I’ve been a lover of bubble baths since I was a kid. Yes, I am 26, and I have ALWAYS loved bath time. It is sacred to me, a time of emptying my brain and filling my nostrils with happiness. My father once put in too much bubble bath when I was a baby and literally lost me when the back half of our house filled with bubbles. He called my grandmother in an absolute panic. About an hour of sprinkling salt later (fun fact: salt kills bubbles), my dad and grandmother found me in my own little bubble cave having a grand ol’ time. I’ve been a bath junkie ever since – and while fizzes, oils, and salts are all magnificent, bubble baths are my favorite. Here’s a list of bubble baths I love and adore – some tried and true; some I’m dying to get my hands on.

Le Couvent Des Minimes Eau Sereine Relaxing Foaming Bath is drool-worthy and clean. This brand is known for wonderful hand creams, and that hydration carries over into this bubble bath. It’s known for The Botanical Recipe of Serenity (which sounds like an ancient elixir) and contains lavender, bergamot, mandarin, and cedar notes to restore and soothe.

Mr Bubble Bubble the Day Away Original Powdered Bubble Bath is the Mr Bubble we love turned grown up and vintage! It comes in the original scent, Sweet & Clean, and Sparkling Sorbet. Powder formulations are hard to find but mix so, so well to make luscious, foamy bubbles. Plus, I can’t get over the adorable packaging.

If you’re trying to find out what to use when you’re congested and just want to be wrapped in bubbly warmth (and can’t get away with Johnson’s Baby Bath for Colds anymore), Dr. Teal’s Eucalyptus Foaming Bath is here for the rescue. While the bubbles in this aren’t enormous, they’re definitely sizable and fill your bathroom with the soothing scents of eucalyptus & spearmint. Paired with some tea, it’s perfect when you need a sick day pick-me-up.

L’Occitane is known for rich, hydrating formulas that leave you feeling pampered. Their Lavander Harvest Foaming Bath is no exception. The moisturizing bubbles leave skin soft instead of sticky, and you’ll smell just enough like lavender that it’s perfect for use before bed. Because of the high emollient content of the formula, the bubbles stay for longer!

Philosophy has been making their famous three-in-one shampoo, shower gel, and bubble bath for years, and one of my absolute favorites is the Señorita Margarita scent (okay, so it borders on “flavor” instead of “scent,” but that almost makes it better). It’s clean, zesty, and makes TONS of bubbles – an easy recipe to turn around a crap day. They also make seasonal variations of this, so keep your eyes peeled for them!

Need a reset button to clear out your negative energy and just start over? Etsy’s TheMadamePhoenix has you taken care of with her Aura Cleansing Bubble Bath! Let’s be real, here. Part of the whole joy of a bubble bath is escaping from reality for a bit to restore your brain. Having some assistance with a bubble bath expressly made to help with that can’t hurt!

Y’all, I really, REALLY want to try this one. If your bubble baths are lacking a certain pizzazz, a je ne sais quoi, a glow…Kameleon Glow is here! Based out of Australia and sold on Etsy, their glow in the dark bubble bath is here to remedy any blah, boring baths. Whether you buy it for yourself or for your kids, it’s sure to become a staple. All you need to do is make sure the bottle is exposed to light for about 15 minutes before using. They’re working on soap and candles to add to the experience!

I am a sucker for anything rose-scented, so naturally, I had to add Lush’s Rose Jam Bubbleroon to this list. Okay, okay, so this one is entirely just for me. If it’s got roses, French macarons, or baths involved, I’m in love. This is just a happy trifecta! Now if only I can convince Lush to change the name to Bubbleron to better reflect the divine cookie’s actual name. Aaaaand, now I want macarons.

Being from the south, if there’s a smell that soothes me, it’s the mixture of gardenia and jasmine on a summer day. Well, those days are a bit far off, but this soothing Goldleaf Gardenia Bubble Bath from Thymes can turn your bathroom into a warm haven of happiness! Touches of rose, amber, patchouli, and praline keep it from being too floral and giving it a nice, well-rounded smell. I highly recommend bathing in this while eating fresh New Orleans style pralines.

Need to minimize the number of products there are in the bathroom? Grab this bubbling sensation from Tubby Todd that’s safe for all skin types and ages to use. It doesn’t smell too grown up, nor does it smell like the latest movie character-covered bubble bath concoction from the store. It’s great for super sensitive skin, too, so no worries about happy bubbles that lead to angry skin.

To truly enjoy your bubbles today, I recommend lots of candles, a relaxing beverage, and a soothing playlist. Here’s a playlist of the ten most relaxing songs to get you going! Happy bathing, everyone!
